Patients & Families
- Did you know that more than 50% of people with type 2 diabetes also have sleep apnea?
- Most of these people have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and are unaware they have it
- Leaving either of these conditions untreated leaves you at risk of health complications
Symptoms of OSA
Use this checklist to help identify whether you or a relative or friend might have OSA:
- Has your partner noticed that you snore, gasp or stop breathing during sleep?
- Do you often wake up feeling unrefreshed?
- Do you sometimes feel excessively sleepy during the day?
- Do you find it difficult to concentrate?
- Do you have high blood pressure?
- Do you have type 2 diabetes?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, you may have OSA.
